I am so lucky that all I need to take my mind off the mess that our world is in right now is the ponies and blue sky. It’s not always been that simple though, so I know first hand how important it is to have the right support. That’s why I think the work that the #dpjfoundation does for our Welsh farming community is so incredibly important, and why we’re proud to display their badge wherever we go with the ponies. It’s #waybackwednesday ! And it’s also @maggie_simons ‘s birthday! The first photo is obviously us when she was a baby, and the last is us together earlier this year. From when she was a little one right through till now, she’s been the best little sister and sidekick I could imagine. More than ever today, I am feeling so incredibly lucky to be able to access all of this wonderful green space from home. Even more so, I am feeling grateful that I can do this with my best friend and little sister beside me. My heart goes out to all of those feeling lonely and isolated. Please reach out to someone if you are. There is always an ear ready to listen. And of course, we are thinking about all of the amazing NHS staff that will see us through this, and all of the families suffering with this dreadful infection. So it was a quick dash from the stables and calf shed yesterday morning back to London for the #walesweeklondon #stdavidsday2020 celebration dinner in the beautiful Guild Hall. I didn’t manage to get a photo with Rhys as he was far too busy chatting but I did steal his bezzie, Ed, for one, and managed to catch them both mid-flow double quick. I really do need to get better at remembering to get photos, just at the time I’m too busy enjoying! They did manage to take a lovely one of me though, painting my toenails on the tube! I caught a glimpse of the calluses on my hands later on and thought, ‘hey ho, clearly you can only fake it so far’! #welsh #countrygirlatheart
